Frequently asked questions:
Fora Form is a Norwegian furniture manufacturer established in 1929. If you’re residing in Norway, you may have heard of Møre Lenestolfabrikk or Møre Møbler – both previous names of today’s Fora Form! We develop, produce, and sell furniture specifically designed for public spaces, with a particular focus on creating functional, inclusive, and inspiring meeting places. You could say that we create forums through form – and that’s how Fora Form was born! If you’d like to learn more about us or our history, click on the following links: About Fora Form or Our History
We have a broad product range and a portfolio that spans from 1954 to today. Our product portfolio includes chairs, seating groups, tables, poufs, accessories, and auditorium seating, several of which are considered Norwegian design icons. We aim to be a full-service furniture provider for social zones wherever people meet. We operate in the segments "work together," "eat together," "breathe together," and "experience together." In addition, we can supply furniture for the marine and offshore segments.
We are proud to highlight our local production, and since 1929, we have had our factory in the small village of Ørsta in the Sunnmøre region, located on Norway’s west coast. Many of our key suppliers are also based in this region, contributing to strong synergies and value creation in the local community. In addition to our factory in Ørsta, we have reliable partners across Europe where certain products or specific parts are produced.
Fora Form is committed to creating products that endure and stand the test of time. Therefore, material selection is a vital part of our product development process. Materials for public spaces must be durable, resilient, and resistant to use and wear. Additionally, material selection depends on the product's intended use. We use various materials, including solid wood of different types, laminated veneer, aluminum, steel, molded foam, and recycled plastic. Many visual material choices are also made in dialogue with the user to meet specific needs, such as finishes for table surfaces or textile choices for upholstered furniture. If you're curious about the core materials of any particular product, you can read more in our EPDs, which provide a comprehensive breakdown of all the product’s components. Click here: Download

The maintenance of our furniture varies depending on the product and the materials used. For example, caring for a table requires different steps than maintaining a sofa. You’ll find a QR code underneath all our furniture, which links to our Quality and Maintenance Manual. This guide provides detailed care instructions tailored to the specific materials of your product. Through our Fora ReForm program, many of our products can also be upgraded or serviced. This allows us to replace or improve certain components, extending the life of your Fora Form furniture for generations. Our production time ranges from 4 to 8 weeks, depending on the product, materials, stitching, and textiles. Several of our products are kept in stock, allowing us to ensure quick deliveries. Other products are made-to-order and may have a delivery time of up to 8 weeks. If you would like an overview of our in-stock products, please contact your local sales representative here: Contact us
We provide a 5-year warranty against structural and manufacturing defects. This covers issues where the product (or parts of it) does not function as expected, such as:
• Deviations in craftsmanship or production (e.g., welds that fail under normal use)
• Geometric flaws in the product (e.g., a misaligned chair or a table with incorrect dimensions)
• Surface defects (e.g., a tabletop material that cracks under normal use)
To ensure the warranty remains valid, all usage and maintenance guidelines must be followed.
By utilizing our Fora ReForm program, your product's warranty can be extended by an additional five years. This renewal is granted when original spare parts, sewing patterns, and labor meet Fora Form's quality and environmental standards.
If your product requires service or repair, you can reach us at reform@foraform.com. Did you know that Fora Form has its own program for upgrading furniture that has withstood the test of time or needs servicing? Through Fora ReForm, we extend the lifespan of your product with local upgrades, original parts, an extended warranty, and a new Environmental Product Declaration (EPD). This approach reduces CO₂ emissions by approximately 70% compared to producing new products! To learn more about our Fora ReForm program, click here: Fora ReForm
