Much of our success can be traced back to the 1950s when we began to explore professional designers as a potential competitive advantage for developing new and innovative designs. The first example was the "Quantum Range Collection," where Øivind Iversen's City chair was born.
The collection and the designers challenged the company's production methods, enhancing the products' durability and allowing for designs in new forms. With an increased pace of innovation and new production methods, one could say that this new mindset contributed to the development of the factory in Ørsta into an industrial enterprise. It began to possess a severe competitive and innovation advantage in the industry.
Our collaborations:
Since the 1950s, we have used designers as a strategic tool for innovation within the company. To this day, Fora Form collaborates continuously with selected designers who we know bring products to the collection with optimal properties for their area of use. In this way, designers play a crucial role in our value creation.
Through the strategic use of designers, we have also ensured excellent functionality in the furniture we have developed for production. Fora Form's product portfolio consists of a range of furniture from various epochs, where each product has served a function in its time. In this way, our history reflects the past's interaction between people, the environment, and society and will continue to do so in the future.
