The Planet series is regarded as one of Norway’s most renowned design classics and was designed by Sven Ivar Dysthe in 1965. The Planet table, like the Planet chair, is characterized by its circular geometry and subtle detailing in the base, where the tactility of the wooden legs creates a warm contrast to the otherwise lacquered column.

Sven Ivar Dysthe (1931–2020) is considered one of Norway’s most influential designers and, throughout his career, created several products that are now regarded as furniture classics. The collaboration between Fora Form and Dysthe dates back to the early 1960s, when he designed products such as Planet and Popcorn.
Planet is perhaps one of Dysthe’s most well-known designs and remains a product that Fora Form is proud to include in its portfolio. For his outstanding work, he received numerous national and international awards, and in 2010, he was appointed “Knight, First Class” of the Royal Norwegian Order of St. Olav.
