Designed by Sven Ivar Dysthe
The popcorn chair is a modern Norwegian furniture icon from 1968, designed by Sven Ivar Dysthe especially for the Henie Onstad Art Center. The daring design ensures both stackability and suspension on tables, which is not common for chairs with an enclosing shape. Popcorn was first relaunched in 2012, and in 2021 the chair was relaunched with 100% recycled plastic.
The special base design gives the chair a natural tilt. This provides improved comfort for longer meetings, completely without mechanics.
The chair is available in a carefully selected color scheme that takes the flair of the 60’s into a new setting. The chair is available with a padded seat and back cushion meeting rooms or more exclusive dining areas.
