Rapid evacuation
Since the chair builds so little, even with narrower steps, Arena will comply with all requirements for rapid evacuation. The armrest itself is designed for safer evacuation. It does not protrude into the walkway to prevent passage.
Torsteinsen Design
Torsteinsen Design was established in 1995, and currently has 3 employees. The married couple Solveig and Fredrik Torsteinsen, as well as Vidar Øverby, all interior architects MNIL with Masters in furniture design. Combined, they have 60 years of design experience. The products are inspired by the functional and organic forms of the Scandinavian design tradition, and strive to be both beautiful and utilitarian. Torsteinsen Design has won a number of awards for its work, including 8 awards for Design Excellence. They have been asked to be jury members for a number of Norwegian design institutions, such as the Norwegian Design Council.
