Our history
Bast is a simple yet honest and intelligent lounge table with a strong, distinctive character. The name “Bast” is derived from the Norwegian word bastant, capturing the very essence of the table—where stability and strength are central. Choose from three standardized tabletop sizes and personalize the table with an optional linoleum surface and lacquered detailing in your preferred color. The table consists of only three components, plus screws, and is 100% separable, making it easy to disassemble.

Furniture of the Year – Bo Bedre Awards Norway 2025
Shortly after the launch of Bast, we were honored with the prestigious Furniture of the Year award at the Norwegian Bo Bedre Awards 2025. The jury highlighted both the product’s strong visual coherence and its sustainable approach to design—particularly emphasizing its separability and honest construction.
